More Than Classroom

Grade Level: 7th
Content Areas: ELA, Social Studies, Math, Drama, Art

I teach because learning has always been an important part of my life. Even before I worked in a school, I was teaching in other ways—leading summer camps, helping in after-school programs, and guiding young people in theater and art. These experiences showed me how much I love helping children learn and grow.

What makes me happiest is seeing students discover their own voice. This might be in writing an essay, understanding history, solving a math problem, or being brave on stage. In my classroom, students know they can ask questions, try new things, and share their ideas without fear.

For me, teaching is not just a job—it is a promise. I want to help young people gain skills they will use for the rest of their lives. Every subject gives them new tools, and I am proud to guide them in learning how to use those tools with confidence and purpose.
