More Than Classroom

Grade Level: 7th
Content Areas: ELA, Social Studies, Math, Drama, Art

I teach because education has always been a central part of my life. Even before I was in the classroom, I found myself in roles that involved teaching—leading summer camps, working in after-school programs, and guiding young people through community theater and art projects. These experiences showed me how much I value helping others learn and grow.

What drives me most is seeing students find their voice—whether it’s through a well-constructed essay, a historical perspective, solving a tough math problem, or taking a risk on stage. I enjoy building a classroom where students feel safe to ask questions, challenge themselves, and express their ideas in meaningful ways.

Teaching is not just a profession for me; it’s a long-term commitment to helping young people build skills they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives. Each subject I teach gives students different tools, and I’m proud to be the one helping them learn how to use those tools with confidence and purpose.
